My practice explores the in/ability to encounter an “other,” taking as a starting point cultural systems of communication and exchange. Recently, this has led me to investigate themes such as intersubjectivity, language, representation, culture, and emotional and geographical distance.

I develop my practice through the creation of installations, sculptures, and relational objects that interpellate viewers in their capacity for action or in their position in relation to the works, both in physical and visual terms. At the same time, I develop collaborative works with others that materialize as publications or sound pieces.

These choices are motivated by an understanding of art as a space for sharing from a non-instrumental perspective, but rather as a place in which we openly unfold ourselves before an other. I see this exercise as fundamental for the construction of non-individualistic spaces and forms of understanding in a global context of polarization and separation.

Mi práctica explora la in/capacidad de encontrarnos con un “otro”, tomando como punto de partida sistemas culturales, de comunicación e intercambio. Últimamente, esto me ha llevado a investigar temas como la intersubjetividad, el lenguaje, la representación, la cultura y la distancia emocional y geográfica.

Desarrollo mi práctica mediante la creación de instalaciones, esculturas y objetos relacionales que interpelan a los espectadores en su capacidad de acción o posición frente a las obras, tanto en términos físicos como visuales. Al mismo tiempo, desarrollo obras colaborativas con terceros que se materializan en publicaciones o piezas sonoras.

Estas elecciones están motivadas por un pensamiento del arte como un espacio para compartir desde una perspectiva no instrumental, sino como un lugar en el que nos desplegamos abiertamente frente a un otro. Este ejercicio me parecefundamental para la construcción de espacios no individualistas y de comprensión en un contexto global de polarización y separación.
